On the eve of a vote by New Orleans City Council that ultimately went unanimously to demolish 83% of all low income housing in the city, WHYnotNews held a roundtable discussion that provided a much needed public forum for expression on issues vital to local residents displaced not only by the storm, but by government complicity in a broad scheme to permanently remove poor and predominantly black residents from prime real estate in the city.
